Bike Barrington - Saturday, June 22
All are welcome to Bike Barrington on Saturday, June 22nd from 9am-12pm in the Barrington Village Hall Parking Lot. This is a free family-fun event designed to teach bike safety and encourage families to ride in and around Barrington. The day will include bike safety tips and checks from Village CycleSport, bike registrations from the Police Department, free bike helmets and fittings from Advocate Good Shepherd, free water from Heinen's, a short ride for the family through Barrington streets, safety training obstacle course for the kids and many other fun activities. Cruise Nights Celebrates 10 Seasons in Barrington!
Join us in downtown Barrington every Thursday, beginning May 30, for the 10th season of Cruise Night. The weekly car show is held every Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. from May 30th through August 29th. This event is FREE and is located in downtown Barrington in the Harris Bank Parking lot on South Cook Street, just south of Lake-Cook Road. Each week there will be food and ice cream vendors, fantastic prizes and entertainment by Bob Roig of Priceless Parties. Bring the entire family! For more information, call (847) 304-3400.

Barrington Beautification - May 27 - September 2
Beautification committee members of the Council of Barrington Garden Clubs will be observing local business sites from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Awards for garden design excellence will be presented to businesses selected at the September 11th. Council of Barrington Garden Clubs meeting. The members of our clubs recognize the time, effort and commitment these gardening efforts take and want to formally acknowledge how much we all appreciate the beauty these designs add to the entire Barrington area.

Barrington 4th of July Parade - Registration and Sponsorship! 4th of July Parade Logo 2013

The Barrington 4th of July Parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2013. This year’s Parade theme is “America - Land of Hopes and Dreams” and “Homegrown in Barrington”, highlighting that for many of our students, the opportunity to explore creative ideas, follow passions and achieve success begins right here in Barrington. In addition to the parade, the committee will host an Essay and Poster Contest with Barrington area school children, and the annual Food Drive. All donations will be given to the Barrington and Cuba Township food pantries to benefit local neighbors in need. Barrington Running Co has Fun Runs every Saturday morning at 8AM in the summer. This is a great way to connect with local runners. The distance is 3-7 miles, and all paces are welcome! This event helps to raise funds to support the pediatric programs of JourneyCare, fromerly Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois. The evening will include swimming, children's activities, a DJ and family fun!
